I ordered this sweater on a whim when Gap ran a 30% off promo a few weeks ago, and promptly forgot about it until I was getting dressed yesterday. I wasn’t feeling well and threw it on as a bit of an afterthought. It met my only two requirements for that morning: comfortable & long enough to cover most of my butt (so I could wear Lulus & not real pants).
Turns out that it’s also incredibly soft, flattering while still being somewhat oversize, AND gets two thumbs up from the male species - seriously. My office is like 98% dudes, and I’ve never gotten more positive reactions to a piece of clothing than I did yesterday (well, apart from that one time I wore a straight up cape to work, and that was more confusion than anything). Also, B gave it rave reviews as well and even encouraged me to order it in more colors (which never, like ever, happens). Who would’ve thought?
Most importantly, I like it so much that I put it on again when I left work early today. Comfies FTW!
Co-sign - I also bought it and finally wore it to dinner! With Ann Taylor ponte black pants and tan riding boots. So comfortable but still looked cute, and the blue is a nice change of color. Get it!
Is it ridiculous to purchase this overnight/weekend duffel that is normally $376 for $199? Check it out on One King’s Lane, if you’re signed up.
Especially if it partially fills the void of refusing to buy a smaller, more expensive, Claire Vivier messenger bag? With included matching pouch *whimper*).
Or is it exactly the smart and chic bargain a professional / grown-up who occasionally travels to client meetings SHOULD purchase?
Minty Fresh: Ease into Pantone’s year of Emerald with a bit of mint madness. January’s wintry temperature and landscapes demand a softer approach to green.

Not gonna lie, I’m in love with mint so this was a fun one. /Shameless self-promotion
And the Stroke of Luck green St. Patty’s Day one, but that’s getting ahead of myself.
So, I need your help. Do you think it’ll go on sale after New Years, or should I bite the bullet now to be safe?
Double-duty: Whether you want to carry it as a clutch or wear it as a crossbody bag, this Steven by Steve Madden bag would carry you from day to night. Comes in 4 colors (above).
I must have this. Less than HALF the cost of a Rebecca Minkoff AND more sleek? Mint, you will be mine. Or maybe blush…
Stef and I are semi-addicted to shopping, pretty things, and lists. So, it only made sense that we joined forces and started a tumblr blog that entails all three - readcremedelacremeblog

Just right for Colorado winters or not enough?
OR, stop and do not buy them because you already have the Target wedge work boots for looks and the J.Crew fake Ugg boots for warmth (although NOTHING for traction).
(Even though there is a code for 40% off: DECBFF12A)
How cute and absurdly overpriced for a hat is this thing!?
(I am on a quest for a hat that is warm and does not make me look like an elf. More difficult than it sounds).
